Electrical Inspection & Fault Diagnosis
Visit to diagnose one electrical issue and provide a quotation. The inspection fee is adjusted when you approve the work.
What is included
- Inspection of one reported electrical issue or one connected set of symptoms
- Basic visual and electrical safety assessment using normal diagnostic tools
- Explanation of the likely cause and recommended solution
- Itemised labour and material quotation before repair work starts
What is not included
- Repair, installation or replacement labour
- Parts, wires, switches, fixtures and consumables
- Wall cutting, concealed-fault opening, plastering or painting
- Special testing equipment, helper labour or high-access equipment
Before the visit
- Share clear photos or a short video of the affected point where safe.
- Keep the affected switchboard, appliance or distribution board accessible.
- Do not touch exposed wires; switch off the affected circuit if there is sparking, smoke or a burning smell.
Common questions
Does the displayed price include parts and materials?
No. The displayed price covers only the selected labour scope. Any wire, switch, socket, fitting, MCB, fixture or spare part is purchased only after you approve its brand, rating, quantity and price.
What if the work is larger than the option I selected?
The electrician will stop, explain the additional scope and ask for your approval before continuing. Concealed faults, extra units, new circuits, wall cutting and unsafe work are not added automatically.
What happens if I do not approve the quotation?
No repair charge is added. The completed inspection fee remains payable for the professional's visit and diagnosis.
How is the inspection fee adjusted if I approve the work?
The full inspection fee is credited in the approved quotation, so it is not charged twice.
