Value, Easy-Care or Washable Paint: What Are You Choosing?

A room repaint, a furnished-home package and a dampness assessment solve different problems. Start with the surface and scope, then choose the finish you want to live with.

What the finish labels mean in the catalogue

TaskTigers currently offers Value (non-washable), Easy-care (semi-washable) and Premium (washable) options for selected room and full-home packages. These labels distinguish the selected product level; they do not mean every mark can be scrubbed away.

Confirm the actual paint product, finish and shade before approval. Ask for the manufacturer's curing and cleaning instructions. 'Washable' does not mean you should wash a newly painted wall immediately or use any household chemical on it.

A room package is for the listed walls and size

Room packages cover the selected number of standard rooms within their stated limits. Full-home options distinguish furnished and unfurnished homes. An occupied home needs protection and access planned around belongings.

Check the area limits and surfaces before comparing totals. Ceilings, balconies, exterior walls, doors, grills and woodwork are not automatically included in an interior-wall package. A higher finish level does not add those surfaces.

When an assessment is the more useful choice

If measurements are uncertain, walls are damaged or the job falls outside a package, choose an appropriate assessment. A consultation covers the selected inspection and estimate, not the subsequent painting labour and materials.

Dampness, leakage, plaster damage and full-wall putty need special attention. Do not treat repainting as a repair for an unresolved water problem. Have the necessary assessment and additional scope agreed before approving the finish coat.

Why the quotes can be different

Compare room count, measurable scope, surface condition, materials, preparation and the selected finish. A clear quote says what is included and what will be charged separately.

For accent, texture, exterior and small jobs, distinguish a bounded package from a quote visit. Do not assume the visit fee buys the full job. Confirm the final work, price and payment stages before it begins.

What TaskTigers can help organise

Choose a listed package for a suitable defined repaint, or arrange a professional assessment for work that needs measurement and a written quote. Share the property type, occupied/empty status and photos of visible damage first.

At handover, compare the finished work with the approved scope and ask about curing, care and any outstanding repairs. Painting improves the agreed finish; it is not a guarantee against future dampness or a medical indoor-air claim.

Questions customers ask

Does Premium include ceilings and doors?

Not automatically. Finish level and surface scope are separate choices; check the package's inclusions and exclusions.

Can I book a repaint over a damp patch?

Have the condition assessed first. A wall-painting package does not automatically include leak repairs, waterproofing or damp treatment.

Is a painting assessment the full painting price?

No. The selected visit is for assessment and quotation. Approve any subsequent painting work and price separately.
